I was over at the public library earlier this week and I came across a book (I know, big surprise) while I was there. It was called 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. I started reading it and from the perspective of the authors, it was a good and fair list. Unfortunately I was not one of the authors so i saw many albums missing. I was going to just criticize and criticize but then I thought about what my dad would say. It's not like you could do any better. Well I might not be able to but I think that Cole, TheGrunginator and myself should be able to. So in conclusion I am going to be starting a list of the greatest albums ever made. 1001 of them to be exact. I hope all readers will comment and help us out if we miss anything.

Hey it's SERENA!
ReplyDeleteOk so the first problem I have with the beginning of this list is it's mostly 70's - 80's rock. Also I don't think you should have so many from the same band!
If I had to add 5 albums to this list they would be:
1. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out - Panic! At The Disco, honestly it is an amazing album, it is unique and not like anything else out there. Pretty. Odd. is like that as well.
2. When You're Alone, You're Not Alone - Forgive Durden, it may only be an EP but it is highly over-looked and I'm disapointed not many people know about it. Even Jon once said to me they have a killer bassist!
3. Take Off Your Colours - You Me At Six, once again this is a band that is not well known here in Canada. Their songs just make me extremely happy inside!
4. It's Classy, Not Classic - Breathe Carolina, clearly this album will not appeal to everyone's taste but I think everyone should give it a listen because the beats are great and it's really catchy.
5. Everything In Transit - Jack's Mannequin, I can't even explain what this album means to me.
Now I was just lookign through my iTunes and here are some of my favourites I'll list.
Want - 3OH!3
Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles
Wake Up The Decil - Carousel
808's and Heartbreak - Kanye West
You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter - I Set My Friends On Fire
It's Not Me, It's You - Lily Allen
The Way We Talk - The Maine
Oracular Spectacular - MGMT
